No Porn For You
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has delayed yet another critical vote on the creation of a long-awaited .xxx domain.
The vote – which has been postponed until June 2010 – will reportedly follow the formulation of a document that outlines various options available to the organization.

I could see this causing a huge increase in porn sites if it ever gets passed

While it probably would create a large increase in the number of porn sites, it would also serve to segment them. I could easily see a number of already existing sites buying the same name in the new TLD and redirecting the .com’s, .net’s, etc. to the .xxx TLD. I think passing it would probably serve to make the net safer.

Why would they use the .xxx as it would make them more easier to filter and they desire as much exposure (pardon the pun) as they can get.
